NONPROFIT SPOTLIGHT
🌱 West Texas Food Bank

This week, we’re highlighting an organization at the heart of the fight against hunger in the Permian Basin — the West Texas Food Bank.

Serving 19 counties across West Texas, the Food Bank distributes over 13 million pounds of food each year, including 3.3 million pounds of fresh produce, through partnerships with more than 90 local agencies. With programs that support children, families, and seniors, the Food Bank plays a vital role in keeping our communities nourished and connected.

At the helm is Libby Stephens, who has led the organization since 2012. Under her leadership, the Food Bank completed a $13.3 million capital campaign that resulted in two major facilities: a 61,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Odessa and a 20,000 sq. ft. Volunteer and Education Center in Midland. Her vision continues to shape the Food Bank's growth and advocacy efforts across the state.
